This weekend, September 27th and 28th, featured the 36th annual Toronto Word on the Street Festival in downtown Toronto. It is dubbed Canada’s largest literary festival, and I had the honor and privilege of being a part of it, as my book, *The Penthouse*, was displayed at one of the booths.
My publisher, hosted me, and I was able to meet and greet both the publishing executives and the general public at their table and booth.
At the festival, I sold copies of my book and was fortunate enough to sign some for my fans. I would like to thank my publisher, for allowing me this opportunity to have a seat at their booth at Word on the Street. I look forward to continuing my support for other literary festivals and authors alike.
My book that was featured is my first novel, called The Penthouse, which is a crime fiction thriller about the Italian Mafia.
Storyline of The Penthouse
“Vito Ricci faces the world with the idea that an honest man’s labor cannot give him the good life. Determined to fulfill his quest, he becomes a made man in the Frazelli Crime Family and begins to excel in the drug underworld in his hometown back in Italy. Eventually, he decides to expand his operation in America and settles in New York City, where he eventually becomes a mob boss by the commission and is given the right to run his own family as he sees fit, while, of course, maintaining control of the drug trade. Vito decides to simplify his life and purchases a modern skyscraper in Manhattan, crowning himself in the penthouse suite. He is now living the good life, and just when things can’t get any better, his world receives a rude awakening from both law enforcement and his enemies. Vito is aware of law enforcement, but he doesn’t know if his enemies are merely rival families looking to get their piece of the pie, or if they are other wise guys who are not only part of Vito’s crime family but also live with him in the skyscraper.”
