Call for papers to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. This is an important historical node in which the Chinese nation fought hard and faced the national crisis together. The victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is a great victory in China’s modern history and a symbol of the indomitable spirit of the Chinese nation. To remember the history of the heroic war of resistance, promote patriotism, show the great significance of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and reflect the contributions made by Chinese Canadians in the anti-fascist war, we have specially launched a campaign in Canada to A writing contest with the theme of “Remembering History and Inheriting Spirit” is being held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. There are plans to edit and publish a commemorative collection in order to preserve precious memories in the long river of history, inspire future generations to forge ahead, and let the cry of history echo in the new era.

Essay topic

This essay solicitation focuses on the great significance of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression , and collects articles in the following four categories:

  1. Commemorative articles written by descendants of anti-Japanese soldiers: recording the heroic deeds of their ancestors, the anti-Japanese spirit passed down in the family, and personal thoughts on the history of the World Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

  2. Studying the history of the World Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression : in-depth exploration of the historical significance of the World Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression from the perspectives of historical factual research, strategy and tactics, and social impact .

  3. A comprehensive review article on events related to the Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression: a comprehensive analysis and commentary on major events, figures, and battles.

  4. Literary creations about the victory of the Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression: using poetry, prose ,and other literary forms to express feelings and respect for the Anti-Fascist War and the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

Requirements

  1. The content of the article must be consistent with historical facts, respect history, have a clear theme, and be written in fluent language.

  2. Academic articles must be objective and rigorous, and the source of cited materials must be indicated.

  3. Poetry creation is not limited to any genre, and innovation is encouraged. Traditional poetry must be written in accordance with the traditional poetry rhythm, and if a new rhythm is used, it should be indicated.

  4. Word count recommendations: Memorial articles and review articles should not be less than 2,000 words; academic articles should not be less than 4,000 words; there is no word limit for poetry.

  5. The article must be original and not published. The pictures must be clear and accompanied by text descriptions.
