[安大略省万锦市,2026年1月16日]一继2025 年成功举办首届「中华文化月」,万锦市及约克区欣然继续举办「中华文化月」庆祝活动。本届活动由主席区域议员李国贤(Joe Li)领导,荣誉主席为万锦市市长薛家平(FrankScarpitti),并由联席主席副市长陈国治(Michael Chan)、第2区市议员刘肇麟(Ritch Lau)、第6区市议员杨绮清(Amanda Yeung Collucci) 及第8区市议员李思韵(Isa Lee)一同策划。今年的庆祝活动定必更加精彩,将于二月推出一系列丰富多元的活动,以表扬华裔加拿大人对社区所作出的深远贡献。
为期一个月的庆祝活动旨在表彰并回顾华人社群在本市及本区发展中所扮演的重要角色,同时彰显我们对多元、共融与文化传承的共同价值。活动将凝聚社区力量,弘扬中华文化,并启发及教育下一代。
「中华文化月」委员会谨此向所有社区合作伙伴致以衷心感谢,全赖他们的鼎力支持与合作,促成2026年「中华文化月」的顺利举行。本年度的庆祝活动获得大多伦多中华文化中心(CCCGT)、安大略中医学院(OCTCM)、菁华艺术协进会(CCAA)、多元文化茶协会、多伦多中乐团(TCO)、李文启武术学院,以及加拿大华人足球传奇球员梅树芬(loeMui)的全力支持,他们的专业与投入,为我们社区带来丰富的文化体验。
2026年「中华文化月」重点活动:
1.开幕礼 2026年2月5日(星期四)晚上7:00-9:00
万锦剧院 (Flato Markham Theatre), 171 Town Centre Blvd, Markham
2026年「中华文化月」将以一场充满活力的开幕礼隆重揭幕,呈献多元丰富的艺术与文化表演,包括传统舞狮舞龙、中华文化舞蹈、市长、联席主席及本地歌手的歌唱演出、中乐表演、武术示范等精彩节目。「财神爷」更会隆重登场,提早与大家拜年并送上好运。
2.教育与文化工作坊—2026年2月14日(星期六)上午11:00-下午5:00
Milliken Mills 社区中心,7600 Kennedy Road, Markham
活动将提供一系列互动式文化体验,包括免费中医诊疗、艺术及书法工作坊,以及儿童趣味摊位。节目亦包括文化分享及讲座、茶艺示范,以及以足球为主题的特别分享活动。
3.约克区「中华文化月」庆祝活动一2026年2月26日(星期四)上午11:00-下午1:00约克区议会厅,17250 Yonge Street, Newmarket
参加者将欣赏到传统舞狮表演以及中乐与音乐演出,并设有午餐招待。此活动开放予公众参与,诚邀市民一同庆祝中华文化、传承精神与社区凝聚力。

2026 “Chinese Culture Month”: A Grand Celebration of Cultural Heritage and Community Unity
[Markham, Ontario – January 16, 2026] Following the successful inaugural “Chinese Culture Month” in 2025, the City of Markham and York Region are delighted to present this year’s celebration once again. The event is led by Chair Regional Councillor Joe Li, with Honorary Chair Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti, and co-chaired by Deputy Mayor Michael Chan, Ward 2 Councillor Ritch Lau, Ward 6 Councillor Amanda Yeung Collucci, and Ward 8 Councillor Isa Lee. This year’s festivities promise to be even more spectacular, featuring a diverse lineup of events throughout February to honour the profound contributions of Chinese Canadians to our community.
The month-long celebration aims to recognize and reflect on the vital role the Chinese community has played in the development of our city and region, while highlighting our shared values of diversity, inclusion, and cultural heritage. It will bring the community together, promote Chinese culture, and inspire and educate the next generation.
The “Chinese Culture Month” Committee extends heartfelt thanks to all community partners. Their generous support and collaboration have made the 2026 celebration possible. This year’s event is proudly supported by the Confederation of Toronto Chinese Canadian Organizations (CCCGT), Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (OCTCM), Chinese Canadian Artists Association (CCAA), Multicultural Tea Association, Toronto Chinese Orchestra (TCO), Li Wenqi Martial Arts Academy, and Canadian Chinese soccer legend Joe Mui, whose expertise and dedication enrich our community with vibrant cultural experiences.
Highlights of 2026 “Chinese Culture Month”:
1. Opening Ceremony
Thursday, February 5, 2026, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Flato Markham Theatre, 171 Town Centre Blvd, Markham
The 2026 “Chinese Culture Month” kicks off with an energetic opening ceremony featuring a rich variety of art and cultural performances, including traditional lion and dragon dances, Chinese cultural dances, singing by the mayor, co-chairs, and local artists, Chinese instrumental music, martial arts demonstrations, and more. The “God of Wealth” will make a grand appearance to deliver early New Year greetings and good fortune.
2. Education & Culture Workshops
Saturday, February 14, 2026, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Milliken Mills Community Centre, 7600 Kennedy Road, Markham
Enjoy interactive cultural experiences including free traditional Chinese medicine consultations, art and calligraphy workshops, children’s fun booths, cultural sharing sessions, tea ceremony demonstrations, and a special football-themed talk.
3. York Region “Chinese Culture Month” Celebration
Thursday, February 26, 2026, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
York Region Council Chambers, 17250 Yonge Street, Newmarket
Guests will enjoy traditional lion dance performances, Chinese music and instrumental performances, with lunch served. This public event is open to all—join us in celebrating Chinese culture, heritage, and community spirit.
